KA-GRIMEX achieves SBP certification, including EU RED and Japan requirements

KA-GRIMEX Green Energy JSC has been certified under the Sustainable Biomass Program (SBP). The certificate (SBP-13-78) was issued by Preferred by Nature on 20 May 2026 and is valid until 19 May 2031.

What the certificate covers

The certification scope covers the production of wood pellets in Nghe An Province, Vietnam, for use in energy production, and their transportation to end users worldwide. It includes:

  • SBP Standard 1: Feedstock Compliance, Standard 2: Feedstock Verification, Standard 4: Chain of Custody and Standard 5: Collection and Communication of Data (Version 2.0)
  • Supply Base Evaluation for primary feedstock from Vietnam
  • Instruction Document EU RED – bridging requirements for the EU Renewable Energy Directive
  • Instruction Document Japan
  • Instruction Document 5E – collection and communication of energy and carbon data

Our production line uses grinders, mixers and pellet mills from AMANDUS KAHL (Germany) and a single-pass rotary dryer by Tuan Hoan, fired with acacia wood. Production is certified under SBP and FSC® Chain of Custody, and our pellets meet I2 industrial grade for power and heat plants in Japan, Europe and South Korea.
